Oops - I've neglected my LJ as of late. Nothing has really happened apart from I finally went on holiday to Italy.

I stayed in a hotel on the outskirts of Rome for a week, and visited Rome, The Vatican, Pompeii, Montecassino and Ostia Antica. So it was a very exhausting trip, which is why I've had this week off work too!

Ok, so I finished reading 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' about an hour ago, and so here are my thoughts ( beneath this cut of course! )

Suprisingly (and also cos I read for 6 hours on Friday night!) I finished HBP yesterday at about 11am, and so was able to start reading DH then! After reading HP for the last few weeks, I am now bookless, and so will have to decide what to read next!!

And, oh yeah, it's my birthday today. 23. Woo(!) Not doing anything today, but am doing a couple of things in the week. But have tomorrow off work, so 4 day week is not bad either!! And also only 3 weeks left until my holiday to Italy, which I am very excited about!!

There's something else I remembered I really liked about the film 'HP&OotP' ( ... )

Have got 50 pages left of OotP, which I will finish tonight, and will then attempt to read HBP in 3 days...I'm not gonna do it!! I'm gonna fail :(

My course finished early on Thursday so I went to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix ( spoilers beneath... )

I'm still reading OotP...Harry has only just given his interview for the Quibbler, so I have the rest of that to read, and HBP before Saturday!!! It's never gonna happen!! I always do this, misjudge them...I really should learn, especially as the last 2 times I haven't actually got round to reading the new one til the next day!! Which this time would be my birthday!! :)

Last of the Time Lords ( LOTS OF SPOILERS COMING UP AND PLEASE COMMENT... )

Gonna make this short and sweet cos I'm tired and want to get into bed and read some more of 'Atonement' (I'm just at the point before Robbie writes the romantic/crude letter, and it's good now I can imagine James McAvoy in the bath!). I like my bus journeys at the moment, but this morning I get this bloody chatty squeeling girls, and so couldn't read!! :(

Reading is my escape/de-stressing method that I'm trying at the moment, cos work is so stressful!! I burst into tears twice last week in frustration/anger, and I've been a right bitch today!! I just hope it gets better, cos I love working with my team, and the work and even the clients, but I've got to think about myself. And my sanity.

Speaking of looking after myself, I need to get to my GP ASAP, and get my thyroid checked (I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism for nearly 3 years now). I bet my levels will come back fine, but I can tell I'm not bloody fine, seeing as my skin has changed colour/gone even paler, and now my eyebrows are falling out :( Plus finding it really difficult to shift the weight, but I know that's always gonna be a struggle...ugh!!

My dad comes back tomorrow from Saudi Arabia, for a month or so. AS the job in Iran has been put on hold, they've all got to wait until the next job restarts which is in a month or so. It's gonna be great to have him back, but I'm really gonna struggle adjusting to him living in the house again, as it's been about 4/5 months since we've properly lived together. But it should be ok. Plus, I'll get steak, so that's great!!

Speaking of great, how utterly fabulous was 'Doctor Who' on Saturday?!?!?!? ( cut for spoilers... )

How weird was Doctor Who tonight? I actually got quite scared at the 'Weeping Angels' and it took me ages to work out the main girl was Carey Mulligan (ie Kitty from P&P).

Obviously it was a 'double banking' episode a la 'Love and Monsters' last year cos there was hardly anything of The Doctor.

But I think I quite liked it actually...

Ambivalent?! Me?! Well yes...

What about other people?!

I'm so so tired!! Have been awake since 4am - couldn't sleep because of the heat! Speaking of, I should steal my fan back off Lucy before I go to bed, which won't be long now. Promise!!

Work is so stressful at the moment, but my day was made a bit brighter by a visit from a rather nice PC, in stab vest and jeans!! :) I need to be desensitised to hot men though, cos I get so embarrased!!

I'm going to try and be such a good girl this month, and try and get a bit out of debt, even though play/amazon is seriously tempting me! I've even been good and cancelled my Scrubs season 5 dvd, even though I preordered it in February :( And I'm even resisting CSI season 6 part 2 until it's cheaper. Or at least until next month. But I need to be good and save for (and pay for) my holiday to Italy, so I really should resist. Especially when I'm going to have to pay hundreds for new glasses and sunglasses, and a new camera...

Something that I couldn't resist though, is 'Grey's Anatomy'. I love it, and love McDreamy even more!! Am just getting to the last few episodes of season 2, and he's looking more McDreamy then ever!! <3

After a very very stressful week at work, I'm so glad that it's Friday, and cos of Bank Holiday Monday, a long weekend!! Whoo!!

Am off to see WICKED again tomorrow. Am getting the train from Bham to London Marylebone at 10.52, seeing the matinee and then the train leaves at 20.40. So long day, but I'm very excited about it. Haven't seen it since the pleasure/pain experience that was Idina's last show on 30 December 2006 when I was sick!! :(

Ooh American Idol's on in 20 mins...I know who won but I'll still watch it! Time to jump in the shower before hand.

Oh yeah, I've had this bloody song in my head all damn long day!! Argh!! Not even the whole song just "Mr Blue Sky is living here today, hey hey, Mr Blue Sky please tell us why..." argh!! Good song but very annoying when you can't shake it!!
